Playworker/Driver 

Monday-Friday 2.45pm-6pm (Term time)

Monday- Friday between the hours 8am-6pm (school holidays shift rota based)


Full driving licence required; you need to have been driving two years

SVQ in play work or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, creative and appropriate play experiences during the out of school club sessions.
  • Take part in the day-to-day administration of the Club as agreed and in accordance with the Club’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide full care for the children including escorting to school.
  • Develop good relations with children, parents and other staff to contribute to a harmonious environment.
  • Attending meetings and training when required.
  • Preparing snacks
  • To ensure children’s individual learning needs are supported and that each child’s progress is recorded as required through personal care plans
  • To work as a team member sharing tasks with other staff.

The successful candidate will be subject to PVG checks and will be required to register or already be registered with the SSSC.

Supervisor

Monday-Friday 2.45pm-6pm (Term time)

Monday- Friday between the hours 8am-6pm (school holidays shift rota based)


Must have 1 years experience in a supervisor position

SVQ in play work or equivalent

  • Undertake the daily supervision of the after-school club, developing and maintaining high standards throughout to ensure the welfare of the children at all times.
  • Ensure children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development giving consideration to families' ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ensuring that the school's Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to.
  • Maintain the after-school club to an agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene, before, during and at the end of each session, and be responsible for all Health and Safety matters in the after-school club to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those who use and work in the Club.
  • To supervise the safe escorting of children to ensure their wellbeing at all times.
  • Take a key role in suitably equipping the after-school club in order to provide a stimulating environment for the children and implement policies and procedures within the after-school club.
  • Ensure that high standards are maintained with regards to how the club runs and showing how the resources (staff, premises, equipment) are used to ensure the needs of the children are met
  • Complete children's care plans
